We like to think of it as affordable!  We are able to offer our subscriptions at affordable prices due to an investment in automation behind the scenes and a 'keep it simple' philosophy.  Many other online services pricing models, such as website design, consist of large upfront costs (in the thousands) coupled with small on-going monthly fees to keep the website live and hosted on the internet.  We prefer to simplify the model and flatten the associated costs into a simple subscription model giving our customers an affordable option and allowing them to 'prove the benefits' for themselves without over-investing.

That depends.  If you already own your own domain name i.e. properplumbers.co.nz you can simply use that and we will work with you to point it to your new website.  If you want to take advantage of the website address which our subscriptions come with then we will work with you to select a domain name that is available.

If we provide your domain name i.e. properplumbers.co.nz then you can choose your own e-mail address using the domain name we provide.  You can select whatever you would like before the @ symbol for example you could choose info@properplumbers.co.nz 

If we provide a domain name for you then you can use our e-mail service.  In-line with our 'keep it simple' philosophy we create e-mail addresses and simply forward them to e-mail accounts of your choosing and which are under your complete control.  For example if you already owned bobplumber@gmail.com we would setup your new email address i.e. info@properplumbers.co.nz and forward this to bobplumber@gmail.com.

Once you have made contact with us we will work with you to confirm your requirements and provide you with a quote.  Once accepted we will then work with you to create your website content.  After a couple of feedback opportunities we will seek an approval from you to publish your website.  Once published and live your subscription will then commence and any changes can be made either as one-off changes (subject to our published pricing in the extra services section) or via a subscription/plan change.

The price of your selected subscription is what you pay, there are no other hidden costs.  We incur upfront costs to create the service we offer you i.e. a website and on-going costs to keep the deliverable live on the internet. We take care of all these costs and flatten the costs out to you at a single, affordable 3 monthly rate.  Should you wish to make any changes to your services, for example a website page refresh, then this would incur additional costs in the form of affordable one-off payment (see extra services) or a subscription plan change.

Yes absolutely.  Subscriptions can be upgraded or downgraded however we require that you give us 2 weeks notice and that they occur at the end of your current subscription billing period (default is 3 months).  If you change to another subscription then we will pre-agree with you what content is removed or added depending on the subscription offerings.

We like to be flexible and we engage with you in 3 month subscription periods.  If you do wish to cancel your subscription we ask that you do so giving 2 weeks notice before the end of the subscription period.  If we do not hear from you within the notice period we will simply roll your 3 month subscription over and re-invoice you.

Proper Mint owns the website in terms of the configuration but you still own any content which you provide us for the website i.e. logos, photos or wording.  We won't make changes without your consent and there is an option to buy your website in it's entirety and look after the feeding and watering yourself (hosting, domain name renewals and content renewals) but not many small businesses want that burden hence why in our subscriptions we retain ownership.  In terms of domain names, if Proper Mint provides the domain name as part of the subscription then we retain ownership, but as with our websites you do have the option of purchasing the domain name and to take over the administration and management

If you already own your own domain name i.e. cafe.co.nz then yes absolutely you can use that with our websites.  We will give you instructions on what you need to have setup with whoever hosts your domain name so it points to your website.  Unfortunately as we wont be providing the domain name we will not be able to offer you the e-mail addresses which are available when we host your domain name but your domain hosting provider should be able to provide you with a similar service.  There are no discounts if we do not provide your domain name as we incur additional costs to assist you in pointing your domain name to the website.

Yes, as part of our website subscriptions we will register the website with Google and setup a basic set of 'keywords' that we believe best reflect your business i.e. Plumber Taranaki.  From the moment your subscription is live, the website will be able to be found on Google and you would be likely to be on the first 2 pages if someone searched for your exact business name.  If someone searched for your business type and location, for example Plumber Taranaki, then you would be unlikely to appear in the first 2 pages.  The reason for this is that Google ranks websites based on several criteria such as whether the website is modern and how popular the website is etc.  Unfortunately some factors such as how many visits the website receives are out of our control, however you the customer can have a positive affect on this by advertising the website address on your vehicle, social media site etc.  Over time your Google placing is likely to increase if you keep your website modern, up to date and increase your visitor numbers.
